Jeroen Eijsink took up the role as CEO of Girteka Group on August 1, 2023, replacing Edvardas Liachovičius, who had held the position since 2008 and will remain on the Board of Girteka Group.
“I welcome the challenge of growing Girteka’s business into one of the largest logistics companies in the world. I have to say that I am coming to a very modern company that already has many achievements in digitalisation, including the use of artificial intelligence, sustainability, and other areas. These results could not have been achieved without the company’s thousands of talented and enthusiastic team members, to whom I have the utmost respect and gratitude,” says Jeroen Eijsink, CEO of Girteka Group.
Mr. Eijsink has more than 25 years of professional experience and has worked in the transport and logistics industry for two decades. He has held managerial and executive positions in multinational corporations such as Siemens and Deutsche Post DHL, where he was responsible for DHL Freight activities in the German, Belgian, Dutch, and UK markets.
Before joining Girteka Group, from 2015, Mr. Eijsink was the CEO Europe for C.H. Robinson, one of the world’s largest logistics companies. He also has extensive experience in the information technology industry. Mr. Eijsink has overseen the implementation of IT projects, founded a technology start-up, and is currently a member of a board of a digital solutions company in Germany.
Mr. Eijsink is a graduate of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and the Technical University of Berlin (Germany) in Business Economics and Supply Chain Management.
Jeroen Eijsink joins Girteka Group at a time of significant transformation. The company is aiming to digitalise all business activities with the help of SAP and expand its business geography with new premises and offices.
