Last Saturday, the Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania invited both young and old to attend the event “Be responsible on the road” which promotes safe behaviour on the roads.
In support of traffic safety initiatives, at the Cathedral Square, we presented an educational reflector zone installed right in the trailer of our truck, which was enjoyed by both the youngest and mature road users. And another trailer of our truck became the main scene of the event!
The Lithuanian special services participated in the traffic safety campaign “Be responsible on the road”: Lithuanian police officers, ambulance specialists, fire safety and rescue service officers, representatives of the State Border Guard Service and the Lithuanian Armed Forces. All those who wished could familiarize with the service vehicles of the special services, which were equipped with special equipment, the participants were introduced to their possible use and reminded that they should be responsible on the road.
Especially for children, the event was equipped with an electric car track with road signs, where well-known animated heroes familiarized the children with the meaning of road signs and the rules of safe behaviour on the road. And the older participants of the event were able to test their theoretical knowledge about traffic safety in the tentative competition. During the event, the participants also familiarized with the rules of riding electric scooters and performed test rides on a specially equipped educational track.
Promoting traffic safety on roads is one of Girteka Logistics’ priority trends of social responsibility.
